"The staff at the Workforce Institute is really outstanding. They've been really excellent in terms of putting together the initial proposal we were involved in through the development of different courses and offerings to industry. They were extremely responsive and just delightful people to work with."

"Workforce Institute is unique in a couple of ways. First, because it is based here in Silicon Valley, it can draw from a pool of highly experienced trainers with real-world high tech, business, and manufacturing experience. Second, the Workforce Institute is not a one-size-fits-all outfit. It works closely with companies to set-up customized training programs that align with clear strategic objectives."

Kaiser Permanente

The training opportunities that we have to train our staff at the Workforce Institute has been instrumental in achieving key priorities for us."

Pacific Gas and Electric Company

"Our partnership with San Jose/Evergreen Community College District began in 2010 with the successful collaboration of a $2,000,000 grant awarded by the California EDD, called the Green Innovation Challenge Grant. This grant and partnership allowed us to create immediate and long-term employment opportunities in Santa Clara County for technical engineering and marketing professionals in the commercial, industrial and agricultural energy efficiency market.

Since then, Workforce Institute and SJECCD have continued to be strong partners. Through public-private collaborations, we have provided annual PowerPathway training programs for veterans and displaced workers to create a qualified and diverse pipeline of candidates for entry-level utility industry skilled crafts trades, such as field utility workers, gas service representatives, an most recently, line workers. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the district and identify new opportunities to creatively collaborate."
